What is WhatsMyCar?
A UK-only car matcher. You answer questions about budget and how you drive, and it ranks 200 models against those answers using fixed rules. It is not a listings site, so nothing here is a live advert and nothing is sponsored.
How accurate are the prices?
They are indicative ranges for typical UK used values, broken down by model year. Finance figures assume a 10% deposit over 48 months at a representative APR. Treat both as a starting point for negotiation, not a quote.
What happens to my answers?
They are kept in your browser so you can come back to a half-finished quiz, and they are sent to our server once to work out the ranking. They are not written to a database and never appear in analytics. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
Do you check my credit or pass details to dealers?
No. There is no credit check, no dealer network, and no lead selling. The only personal detail the site ever asks for is an email address, and only if you want your results emailed to you.
Can I change my answers?
Yes. You can step back through the quiz to change an earlier answer, or restart from scratch. Changing an answer re-runs the ranking.
Why is my car not in the list?
The database covers 200 common UK models rather than every trim and variant ever sold. If a model is missing it is because it has not been added yet, not because it scored badly.
